Elsie’s Plate & Pie is named in memory of the beloved Elsie Marie Campeau Rupe of Lockport in Lafourche Parish, maternal grandmother of Proprietor and Chef Paul Chauvin Dupré. Elsie, known to many close to her as “Tee,” and as “Ma” to her eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, was a major influence on Paul’s life and career.

Today, we had the crawfish queso dip with pork skins, bayou fry bread with maple peach butter, shrimp poboy, seafood pot pie and Diablo shrimp omelette. The food was delicious, but our server was not friendly.
The brunch is definitely 10/10! Everything was phenomenal. Especially the fry bread with the peach maple butter. Lawdddd! Honestly though, the way the crawfish queso omelette and boudin cakes hit. I really can't pick a favorite. You gotta order it ALL!! I see why y'all choose mimoas over communion juice. I joke, I kid but I definitely recommend this place.
Sat at the bar, quick seating the wait was about 30 mins for a table. Had the fried okra appetizer and perfectly battered and seasoned. Order a Bloody Mary and a Apple Cider Sangria, both very tasty and quick...
Seriously kicking ourselves for not trying this place sooner. The seafood pot pie, red beans and rice & fried chicken, and kids meat pie were all amazinggg. We also had the s'mores pie and a seasonal banana pie for desert and I'm still dreaming about them.
The food is delicious!! We had the seafood bisque and it was so good we decided to come again tomorrow for lunch!! Took three slices of pie home to eat later and cannot wait!
